Choosing the right wedding venue is one of the most important decisions in your planning journey. With so many beautiful options in Charlotte, it can quickly feel overwhelming; however, it should be exciting, not stressful! That’s why I’ve put together this guide to some of my favorite Charlotte wedding venues.
From historic estates and charming homes to modern downtown spaces and scenic countryside settings, each venue offers its own personality and photo-worthy moments. As a Charlotte-based wedding photographer, I’ve explored many locations, and every venue on this list of Charlotte wedding venues brings something unique.
This isn’t a complete list, but it’s a helpful starting point as you dream up your wedding day and find a space that feels just right.

Morning Glory Farm Wedding Venue
Morning Glory Farm is a picturesque, family-owned property in Monroe, NC, just outside Charlotte. It’s known for romantic gardens, open meadows, and charming glass house. This venue is perfect for couples dreaming of a nature-filled, intimate celebration with Southern charm. It’s one of my personal favorite Charlotte wedding venues.
It offers several ceremony sites, a covered outdoor pavilion, and a beautiful glass house. The space is ideal for golden hour portraits and relaxed, elegant receptions.

Boxwood Estate Wedding Venue
Boxwood Estate is tucked away in Mocksville, just an hour from Charlotte. This private, 51-acre property features a grand Georgian-style manor, formal gardens, and a serene lakeside ceremony site. It’s a timeless, elegant venue for couples wanting an estate-style wedding with both indoor and outdoor options.

Separk Mansion
Just 25 minutes from Charlotte, Separk Mansion is a restored 1920s Italian Renaissance estate that blends vintage elegance with modern comfort. It features grand staircases, crystal chandeliers, and manicured gardens. As a result, it’s a romantic choice for couples planning a classic, upscale wedding. It’s one of the most romantic Charlotte wedding venues.
Ceremonies can take place in the garden or ballroom. From there, guests can enjoy a seamless transition into cocktail hour and the reception inside the mansion.

St. Mary’s Chapel
Tucked in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood within Thompson Park, St. Mary’s Chapel is a charming, historic venue ideal for intimate weddings. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1975, it offers a serene setting with classic architecture and tranquil surroundings. As a result, it provides a peaceful backdrop for meaningful ceremonies.
The chapel accommodates up to 70 guests and includes a dressing room. In addition, a selection of decorations is available for rent. It’s one of the most intimate Charlotte wedding venues.

Belk Chapel at Queen’s University
Located in the heart of Charlotte’s historic Myers Park neighborhood, Belk Chapel offers a timeless Southern setting for wedding ceremonies. The Dairy Barn
Located just south of Charlotte, The Dairy Barn at Anne Springs Close Greenway offers a rustic-chic setting for weddings. This renovated 1947 dairy barn features a spacious upstairs loft for ceremonies and a downstairs reception area. In addition, it includes a charming outdoor patio.
