Fall Wedding at The Morehead Inn with Gold and Blue Details

Congratulations, Audrey and Jack! This fall, I captured Audrey and Jack’s gorgeous wedding at the Morehead Inn in Charlotte, NC. This was actually my first time photographing a wedding day at this venue. I honestly drive by it all the time for portrait sessions and I never knew it was there. It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Charlotte. The Morehead Inn is such a gorgeous property and it was perfect for Audrey and Jack’s celebration!

Charlotte Wedding Day in the Fall

Audrey is the definition of a sweet Southern bride! She was absolutely perfect – sweet and amazing to work with, and I know I wasn’t the only vendor who thought so. Audrey had a beautiful look for her fall wedding day. I loved her classic updo that featured pearl pins. Her wedding dress was so classic and she looked incredible in it! Audrey and Jack opted to meet at the end of the aisle, but Audrey had a special first look with her dad before the ceremony. I love when my brides decide to have a first look with their family! It’s always a nice, quiet moment together on a busy day. I absolutely loved working with Audrey and Jack’s families, too. They’re incredibly kind!

Wedding at The Morehead Inn

One of the things I loved most about the Morehead Inn is how cozy the house is. All morning long, we worked inside since it was raining… but it was okay! Thankfully, the rain broke before their ceremony and for their portraits, so we were able to enjoy Audrey and Jack’s wedding ceremony on the brick patio outside. I loved every moment of their ceremony! You could tell how excited Audrey and Jack were to be tying the knot together.

After their ceremony, I got to spend time with Audrey and Jack around the property for portraits together. We also snagged some portraits with their bridal party. I’m absolutely in love with the light blue gown that Audrey chose for her bridesmaids! That evening, the sunset was amazing! I’m obsessed with the light we got for Audrey and Jack’s photos. The portrait of Audrey and Jack with Audrey’s beautiful veil floating behind her is one of my all-time favorites!! The rest of the night was spent inside The Morehead Inn celebrating at their reception. The space was filled with elegant ivory and gold details – perfect for a fall wedding. Audrey and Jack ended the night with a sparkler exit – the best exit for their fall celebration!
