Fall Wedding at Whitehead Manor in Charlotte NC

Sylvia and Devin are one of the most fun, laid back, bubbly couples I’ve ever had! Their fall wedding day at Whitehead Manor in Charlotte NC was absolutely stunning. The entire day was perfect and full of so much joy. It was a dream come true to photograph and experience alongside Sylvia and Devin. One of the things I love most about them is that they have such a great sense of humor. The little things don’t bother them – and I loved their attitude all day long.

Fall Wedding at Whitehead Manor

Their wedding day took place in early October and we had the BEST weather. When I arrived, I was able to start documenting Sylvia and Devin’s gorgeous details. Sylvia’s wedding gown might have been my favorite thing to photograph! It’s so pretty – with little bow details on the shoulders and detailing on the bodice. She also had the most perfect pale blue shoes to wear – which I love! I think that using your shoes as your something blue (or for another pop of color) is always a lot of fun.

Sylvia chose to do a first look with her bridesmaids on the front porch of Whitehead Manor when she was ready. She and Devin chose not to do a first look but we found a great corner of the house for them to do a first touch. It was so special!

Outdoor Wedding Day in Charlotte NC

I absolutely LOVE Whitehead Manor! I’ve worked at this venue before but never on one of my own weddings. It’s such a great space and gives me major Charleston vibes. Sylvia and Devin had their ceremony on the front lawn of the house. It was absolutely gorgeous. Afterwards, Syliva, Devin and I wandered around the garden and house to capture their newlywed portraits. They were so relaxed and it showed! They just laughed and had a great time, which I truly think is what every wedding day should be like.

Afterwards, they held their reception in a gorgeous clear tent on the lawn. All of their pink and green florals looked amazing with the gold accents they chose. But, the best part of the night was definitely when the dance floor opened! It was full throughout the entire night. Everyone was having a blast under the patio lights as the night sky came out. Sylvia and Devin enjoyed lots of time with their guests – and made sure to find moments to enjoy some donuts and sweet treats together before their sparkler exit.
