Kristen and Justin are one of my past KDP couples from several years ago. I absolutely adore both of them and was so excited to see them again! This fall, they asked me to come to their beautiful home in Charlotte for fall family portraits. They wanted to capture this season with their first baby, William, and their sweet dog, Sophie. I couldn’t wait to see Kristen and Justin again and meet their family!

Fall Family Portraits at Home in Charlotte NC

We decided to do their fall family portraits at home. I love the idea of lifestyle family photos at home. There’s something so relaxing about knowing you’re in your own space – especially with a young kiddo. Kristen and Justin have a beautiful home and plot of land! We focused outside so we could capture the fall colors, and they had the perfect backyard and lake access to do just that. The day of our session was gorgeous, too, and we had the best lighting! It was literally a dream session with these four!!

As a new mom, watching Kristen and Justin in their parent era is so special to me. I get it on so many levels and it’s extra meaningful since I captured their wedding day and love story, too. William is the sweetest and even if he wasn’t 100% sure about me, we captured some adorable moments with him and his parents! I just loved his little chubby cheeks! On top of the moments between these three, Kristen and Justin chose the perfect fall outfits foe their photos. I loved the hint of brown in all of their outfits paired with different shades of blue. They popped against the fall oranges and yellows around us! So dreamy!
