Spring Wedding at The Farmstead | McKenzie & Jacob

Weddings

May 16, 2023

McKenzie and Jacob are married! On a windy spring day in April, they became husband and wife at The Farmstead in Concord NC – one of my favorite venues in the area. Their wedding at The Farmstead was filled with so many gorgeous details and emotional moments. I can’t wait to share them all with you. I’m so happy I could be with McKenzie and Jacob on their big day!

Emotional Wedding in Concord NC

To start, McKenzie and Jacob are truly just incredible people. They’re so sweet, very Christ-centered, and service oriented. Jacob is in law enforcement and McKenzie is studying to be a teacher. I’m thrilled that their family and friends were able to be with them to celebrate on such a special day. The day began with high emotions (but so beautiful!) in McKenzie’s suite. One of her friends illustrated a portrait of her, her mother, and her grandmother in their wedding dresses alongside her pup that recently passed. It was such a special gift for the bride on her wedding day!

Country Chic Bridal Looks

McKenzie had two looks for her wedding day. First was her incredible wedding dress! I LOVED the corset top that transitioned into a lace overlay on her wedding dress. She wore simple pearl jewelry and she, and her bridesmaids, carried the most fun bouquets. Their bouquets were ivory, tan, and green filled with cattails and eucalyptus leaves. They were amazing – I’ve never seen anything like them! During the reception, McKenzie changed into her second look – a fun party dress! It was so perfect for her. I honestly wish more brides did this!!!

Country Wedding Day at The Farmstead

McKenzie and Jacob’s wedding day was SO windy but they were such troopers. So was their bridal party! I’m so grateful to them for bearing with me. I love all of the portraits we captured but I know it wasn’t the most enjoyable for them all. McKenzie and Jacob carried the florals the ladies carried into their ceremony and reception spaces, too. Seriously, I’m obsessed with these florals!!! Their reception was a blast. Everyone had a great time partying and dancing the night away. It was the perfect day!

Congratulations again, McKenzie and Jacob! I’m so happy for you both!!
