Fall Wedding at Camelot Meadows in Belmont NC

Congratulations to the newest KDP couple: Amy and Michael! I had an absolute blast with these two celebrating their wedding at Camelot Meadows, a gorgeous venue in Belmont NC!! Despite some mishaps due to Hurricane Helene, Amy and Michael had a wonderful wedding day full of nods to their cultures. Amy is Chinese and Michael is Filipino, and I loved seeing the blend of cultures throughout their big day!

Fall Wedding at Camelot Meadows

For their wedding day, Amy and Michael made sure to include important traditional elements from their cultural backgrounds, as well as more traditional Western components. One of my favorite moments was their traditional Chinese tea ceremony. I’ve photographed one before, but Amy and Michael brought their own twists! I loved that they had some games for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to help Michael get to Amy. It involved lots of singing, dancing, and bribing the bridesmaids with money, haha! I love that Amy and Michael had a lot of fun with this traditional element.

Afterwards, Amy and Michael changed into their other wedding attire for their church ceremony and reception. I just have to say: I’m obsessed with the blues that Amy and Michael chose for their wedding party’s attire!! It was perfect for a fall wedding. The church where they had their ceremony actually had no power because of the hurricane, but Amy and Michael’s guests stepped up! Since the music wasn’t able to be turned on, their guests hummed the wedding march for Amy as she walked down the aisle. That is something I will remember forever!

Camelot Meadows is beautiful – and they had the most gorgeous bamboo forest that turned out to be a great spot for their first look and portraits. Amy and Michael also held their cocktail hour here, which I thought was so fun! It was another sweet nod to their cultures. The rest of the night was spent partying away with their guests. Amy and Michael had an amazingly full dance floor all night long (oh, and a boba cart – which was delicious!!!).

Congratulations again, Amy and Michael! I’m so happy for you and thrilled that your day came together, despite the hurricane. I wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness!!
