Brunch Wedding at Alexander Homestead | Rachel & Thomas

For Brides

August 6, 2024

Congratulations, Rachel and Thomas! Your brunch wedding at Alexander Homestead was stunning. I’m so grateful that my associate, Heather, was able to capture their beautiful day. I grew up with Thomas, so I was honored when he and his bride-to-be reached out about their wedding day. Unfortunately, I was already booked but it’s moments like these that remind me how grateful I am to have associate photographers like Heather! It allowed us to still document their incredible day.

Summer Wedding Day Looks

First things first, I have to say that Rachel looked AMAZING as a bride. She was absolutely glowing in her wedding gown. When I went through the photos that Heather captured, I couldn’t stop smiling because she just looked incredible and so, so happy. Rachel’s gown was deceptively simple – a strapless dress with a gorgeous floral lace overlay. Her bouquet was also one of my favorites from the year, full of ivory roses and greenery. So pretty! Each of her bridesmaids carried a smaller version of her bouquet and perhaps my favorite part of their wedding days looks was her bridesmaids’ mismatched blue floral gowns. They look so good together – and I love the mismatched look so that each lady can find a dress she really loves!

Brunch Wedding at Alexander Homestead

Rachel and Thomas chose to do a morning wedding with a brunch and early afternoon reception. For a summer wedding, I think it was a perfect idea. Rachel and Thomas could have their garden ceremony without being too hot and then got to enjoy the rest of their day with their loved ones. It’s such a great way to make your wedding day last and I’m thrilled that these brunch weddings are becoming more popular. Rachel and Thomas ended their celebration with a bubble exit – another popular trend that I’m obsessed with! It makes for such FUN photos!!

Congratulations again, Rachel and Thomas! I’m so happy for you both and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together!
