Mint Museum Uptown Wedding in Charlotte NC | Emory & Will

Weddings

July 30, 2024

I’m so happy to be sharing Emory and Will’s wedding with you today! They tied the knot at the Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte NC this summer. It was such a classic wedding day with dusty blue details and white accents, a traditional church ceremony, and a fun reception at the museum with a second look for the beautiful bride. Seriously a dreamy day and I’m so happy that Emory and Will asked me to be a part of it with them!

Classic Charlotte NC Wedding Day

Emory and Will are probably the sweetest people I’ve ever met! Fun fact, they were guests at my other couple’s wedding (Ellie & Andrew), so I was extra honored to be asked to do their wedding!! Although I didn’t get to do an engagement session with them, we clicked so well and had a lot of fun on their wedding day. I did get to do Emory’s bridal portraits, so it was fun to see her all dressed up as a bride again – and with her fun second look later in the night!

Emory prepared with her bridesmaids in the city before meeting Will for their first touch at the church. They didn’t see each other – but they were able to hold hands around the pillar of the church and exchange their own private vows with each other. I think this is such a beautiful option if you don’t want to do a first look or want to share personalized vows in addition to the traditional ones in your ceremony. It was emotional for both Emory and Will, and I felt honored to be a part of it!

Inspiration for Summer Wedding

After their beautiful ceremony, I was able to keep Emory and Will at the church a little longer for some portraits. They’re honestly my favorite part of the entire day! Emory and Will looked amazing and this church is BEAUTIFUL!! Plus, their dog Jones got to make an appearance there for some portraits too. It was adorable! Of course, we also captured many portraits of the bride and groom at the Mint Museum Uptown, too. It’s another gorgeous spot in the city.

Emory and Will brought their blue, white, and gold color palette into the reception space at the museum. It looked amazing! I personally love this combination and it always works well for weddings in the summer. Their reception was a BLAST! Even Will’s 99 year old grandmother made it out on the dance floor. I also loved that Will brought his own film camera and took photos throughout the day – it was a special way for him to document the day and I managed to snap a photo of him and Emory using it on the dance floor. Emory and Will truly loved celebrating with their guests – and I loved documenting it all. Emory’s party dress was SO cute too! She looked amazing!!!

Congratulations again, Emory and Will! I loved your uptown Charlotte wedding day and I wish you both the most beautiful and happy marriage!
