Summer Wedding at the Grand Bohemian Hotel

Congratulations, Ally and Mark! I am so happy for you both and thrilled I was a part of your wedding at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Charlotte NC this year. Their wedding day was elegant and chic, a perfect way to start their marriage together. Ally is SO much fun to be around, very bubbly and outgoing and Mark complements her well with his own sweet personality. It was truly a joy to be a part of their celebration and I can’t wait for you to see it all.

Grand Bohemian Hotel Wedding

Ally and Mark chose to host their wedding day at the gorgeous Grand Bohemian Hotel. It’s a beautiful hotel in Charlotte and having all of their day in one location made it easy for them, their guests, and their vendors. I have to give a quick shoutout to their wedding planner, Matt of Hospitality Butler. He was so on top of everything throughout the day and was calm and collected. It really allowed all of us other vendors to show up for Ally and Mark because we knew we had someone on top of everything for us!

Summer Wedding Inspiration

For their wedding day, Ally and Mark decided a first look was part of their plan. They met outside the hotel after preparing separately and it was SO sweet! We were able to capture them in their wedding attire on the streets of Charlotte before going up to the rooftop for some gorgeous views of the city. We also decided to do their bridal party portraits there. I LOVE the teal and grey scheme that Ally and Mark chose – perfect for a June wedding. Afterwards, they welcomed their guests for an outdoor ceremony in the gardens of the hotel. I’ve photographed other weddings here and I never tire of how beautiful it is, especially with a unique statue as the centerpiece of a ceremony. The best part of their ceremony was that Ally’s brother and Mark’s sister officiated the whole thing. How special is that?!

The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with their loved ones! The ballroom of the hotel was transformed with their white flowers and simple decor, but it truly looked amazing. Ally surprised their guests with an outfit change partway through the party, which is something many of my brides are doing. I love it! I think it’s so fun to choose a shorter party dress to dance in. When the night began to wind down, I grabbed Ally and Mark for some last portraits outside as the sunset and we wrapped up with a super fun bubble exit! Honestly, those may be some of my favorite photos of the evening!
