Intimate Uptown Charlotte Wedding at St. Mary's Chapel

As a wedding photographer, I have the joy and honor of photographing so many special moments for couples all around North Carolina. It was why I was so pleased when Jessica and Ben reached out, asking me to capture their intimate Uptown Charlotte wedding at St. Mary’s Chapel this spring. I don’t often get the chance to photograph smaller weddings these days. Theirs was so special and so much fun! I feel lucky to have been able to bear witness to their intimate celebration with their family.

Uptown Charlotte NC Wedding Day

Jessica and Ben were not only saying “I do” to each other the day they got married. They were also blending their families bringing together their 9 children as well. So, it was important to them from the start that their wedding day focused on family and their love. They chose to host their ceremony in the historic (and always gorgeous) St. Mary’s Chapel in Uptown Charlotte. It was such a gorgeous spot for their vows. I personally love all of the dark wood vibes the space creates.

After their ceremony, I took Jessica and Ben through one of the parks nearby. I love stealing away for a quiet moment together and portraits on wedding days. Then, we headed to Fleming’s Steakhouse afterwards to meet with their family and friends. There, they celebrated with a romantic dinner and small reception to celebrate! Jessica and Ben chose the most vibrant gorgeous floral arrangements to fill the space and they were the perfect pop of color against the dark tones of the restaurant. It was beautiful!

Their entire wedding day felt intimate and focused on what matters most to them. The whole time I was with Jessica, Ben and their family, it was easy to feel the love that surrounds them all. Jessica and Ben, thank you for asking me to be a part of this beautiful Uptown Charlotte wedding day with you both. I wish you many happy years together!
