Winter Chickadee Hill Farms Wedding

Allison and Nick are married! They hosted the sweetest winter wedding at Chickadee Hill Farms that really leaned into the Christmas holiday. It was beautiful and full of little touches that just reminded me how truly incredible Allison and Nick are. Photographing Nick and Allison’s wedding was also super special because I photographed Allison’s twin sister, Anna and her husband last year when they tied the knot! Allison and Nick’s wedding truly felt like a little reunion for us all.

Winter Chickadee Hill Farms Wedding

When you plan a winter wedding, you have to decide if you’re going to lean into the holidays or stay away from them. Allison and Nick decided to incorporate the deep, rich reds of the Christmas season into their wedding. They also included little stockings and mistletoe – such cute touches! It was all so elegant without being overdone or too much. Chickadee Hill Farms has such beautiful white and light wood spaces, so the holiday colors looked amazing in the space, too.

Before the ceremony, Allison and Nick did a first touch around the corner of the building. Allison gave Nick a personalized bible before the ceremony – she had been writing notes in it and saving it for her future husband!!! I absolutely LOVED that idea. It’s so thoughtful and a wonderful way to connect spiritually with your spouse! Afterwards, it was time for their chapel ceremony. Allison had a beautiful white fur she donned for portraits but she showed off her gorgeous gown when she entered the church. Allison and Nick exchanged the most heartfelt vows focused on their marriage and God. It was incredibly special.

Allison, Nick and her sister, Anna, too are just some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Both sisters think of every little detail and working with them for both their wedding days means the world to me. I’m so happy I was able to capture Allison and Nick during this romantic winter wedding. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!
