Romantic Spring Wedding at Morning Glory Farm | Avery & Alex

Weddings

June 10, 2025

I am so excited to be sharing Avery and Alex’s wedding day with you! They had a truly gorgeous spring celebration at Morning Glory Farm, which has to be one of my new favorite venues. Every moment of their romantic celebration was beautiful and so dreamy. I’ve worked with Avery’s family before at her brother’s wedding, so it was amazing to be back with everyone and nice working together again. I’ve known them all a long time, so this felt like an even more special celebration for me to photograph!

Spring North Carolina Wedding Day

Avery and Alex got ready at a family friend’s home and the bride’s home across the street from each other, which I thought was so sweet. It was a nice way to have a simple but sentimental morning in spaces they know and love. Avery’s home had such gorgeous light – it felt like a no brainer space to get ready as she got into her gown. Once both of them were ready, Avery and Alex met at Morning Glory Farm for a first look. We found a perfect spot along one of the ponds on the property for their special moment together.

Spring Wedding Day at Morning Glory Farm

It was important to Avery and Alex that we captured as many portraits as possible before their cocktail hour, so I spent the morning with their family and friends around the property. I love that they chose a champagne color for the bridesmaids’ gowns. I think it worked beautifully against the greenery around us. After all the portraits were done, it was time for Avery and Alex’s ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way!

Creating a Wedding Timeline That Works for You

Avery and Alex wanted to go straight to cocktail hour and that is what we did! With a first look and all photos done beforehand, this was easy to do. They spent the entire cocktail hour mingling with friends and family, which is my favorite way to do a wedding!! When the cocktail hour was over, the guests headed into the reception in the glass house at Morning Glory Farm. It’s such a unique spot on the venue and with the gold, green, and ivory accents, the space came to life.

Since Avery and Alex are some of the sweetest people, it’s no surprise that their reception was full of emotional moments. From the most special speeches to Alex’s sister joining him and his mom for their dance, it was a really beautiful evening full of love. We ended the night with sunset portraits of Avery and Alex, a chance to step away for a quiet moment together. They finished the party with a private last dance and bubble exit. It was the perfect way to wrap up their evening!

Congratulations, Avery and Alex! I’m thrilled I could be a part of your wedding day. It was beautiful (and I hope it won’t be my last at Morning Glory Farm!).
