Congratulations, Meda and Nick on a beautiful spring wedding day. They hosted their family and friends at the Sutherland in Wake Forest, NC. Their wedding was extra special to me because I photographed Meda’s brother’s wedding, so it was like a family reunion getting to see everyone again. Plus, I got to congratulate Andrew (Meda’s brother) and Ellie on their new baby. It was the most amazing gift for me on top of a wonderful day for Meda and Nick. I LOVE their families – they’re so sweet to be around. Thank you to Meda and Nick for asking me to be a part of your wedding day! 

Elegant Spring Wedding Day

Meda and Nick’s wedding was full of the most elegant touches right from the start. When I arrived and began photographing their details, I quickly fell in love with everything they’d selected for their big day, including the gorgeous invitation suite with a watercolor envelope liner. It was so gorgeous – and super fun to pair with simple white tulips for their flat lays. Meda chose a timeless bridal look for their wedding day and everyone around her was so supportive as she showed off her dress during their first look! She chose to have a first look with her dad before her beautiful bridesmaids helped her prepare to meet Nick for their first look. 

Despite the little bit of good luck rain that we got during the day, Maya and Nick were able to have their wedding portraits and ceremony outside like they planned. I’m so happy that their vision worked out, despite the weather!! The Sutherland has the most gorgeous gardens, so I was pleased to wander through them with the newlyweds and their bridal party. I think spring wedding portraits in gardens are always a wonderful idea! 

Wedding Reception at the Sutherland

Meda and Nick ended the night with a gorgeous reception in the Sutherland’s Pavilion. It’s a gorgeous rustic space, but feels so elegant with hanging patio lights and Meda and Nick chose to add some greenery in the center of the room. It felt so elegant and romantic! I was also obsessed with the black and white dance floor. Such a great vibe! Meda and Nick danced the night away with their guests and Meda even surprised everyone with a second dress for the party. The ended the celebrations with late night Chik-Fil-A bites (delicious) and it was truly the perfect end to their wedding day!

Congratulations again, Meda and Nick! I’m so happy for you both. I truly enjoyed every moment of the day with you and I wish you a lifetime of love and joy together!!!
