Bridal portraits are one of my favorite Southern wedding traditions. They’re so classic and elegant, creating the opportunity for timeless portraits of the bride-to-be to celebrate. When I think of a session that is all those things – timeless, elegant, and classic, I immediately think of Meda’s bridal portraits at the Sutherland in Wake Forest. She has the most beautiful bridal look and paired with this stunning venue, her session was such a dream! I’m so excited to be sharing it with you today.
Bridal Portraits at the Sutherland
Meda brought her mother and her aunt along for her bridal session. They were such an amazing team, helping make sure that her hair, veil and dress looked perfect throughout the entire time we were together! Plus, they cheered her on and we just had such a wonderful fun time together. I think every bride should bring their hype squad!! We explored the grounds at the Sutherland for her portraits. Together, we found the most elegant spots around the 18th century venue for Meda’s portraits.
Like many of my brides, Meda brought a mockup of her bridal bouquet. It’s round and filled to the brim with a variety of gorgeous white flowers. Paired with her dramatic long veil and her simple strapless gown, she looked so elegant. I loved all of the detailing on both her veil and gown. Bridal portraits are the perfect time to slow down and really highlight the details that made you fall in love with your gown! We were able to capture plenty of closeup detail photos for Meda of those little accents. It’s one of the reasons I love these sessions – we get to slow down and really take the time to document your unique look without the hustle and bustle of your wedding day!
Meda, thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful bridal portraits. I hadn’t been to the Sutherland in quite some time and this was the perfect reason to come back and explore! I hope that you will treasure these portraits for years to come and look back on being a bride with such fondness!
