Rainy Wedding at The Saratoga Springs in Charlotte NC

Congratulations, Morgan and Jake! Their wedding day brought me to the gorgeous Saratoga Springs in Mount Pleasant. It was my first time at this beautiful venue and I loved every minute of being here… even if it was a rainy spring day! Honestly, their wedding day was one of the rainiest events I’ve ever photographed, so I know that Morgan and Jake are going to be one of the luckiest couples I’ve ever had. They thankfully had a wonderful rain plan, so we still managed to have a beautiful day – and capture everything Morgan and Jake wanted.

Rainy Wedding at The Saratoga Springs

Morgan and Jake had the sweetest details for their wedding day. Morgan and her ladies all carried bright pink and orange bouquets, which looked perfect against the pale green dresses her bridesmaids wore. With all of the rain, the bright colors really popped and looked extra incredible. The Saratoga Springs has a wonderful front porch that was to die for so we were able to capture so many of their portraits there throughout the morning. Morgan and Jake opted to skip a first look and met during the ceremony for the first time.

With the rain, we had to pivot and their ceremony took place under their reception tent. They had a beautiful backdrop with floral hoops! It was a sweet and emotional ceremony for Morgan and Jake. Afterwards, we captured their wedding portraits. The Saratoga Springs has a gorgeous porch, but there were also some beautiful rooms inside the hotel. Morgan and Jake are such gems and I loved working with them (and their families). Their patience and trust as we all pivoted to bring them a wonderful wedding day in the rain was just so incredible!

Tented Wedding Reception

While we were capturing their portraits, the team got the tent ready for the reception again. Their setup felt so romantic – gold plates, lace table runners, and more of their bright flowers. Morgan and Jake danced the night away with their family and friends until it was time to leave. They chose to have a fun bubble exit! I absolutely LOVE bubble exits and theirs was adorable.
