Boho Inspired Wedding Day in Richfield, NC

Kenzie and Madison are married! This wedding day was extra special because I grew up with Kenzie. She and I went to the same high school, and I had a few classes with her and her twin sister, Abbie. Being there as Kenzie married Madison was truly a special moment for me! Kenzie and Madison chose to host their intimate boho inspired wedding day at their home in Richfield, NC. I’m calling it: they are the next Chip and Jo Gaines!!!

Boho Inspired Wedding Day

Kenzie has such an eye for design and everything came together SO beautifully for their intimate backyard wedding! She also has a huge love for flowers, so I was thrilled that Tracie from Heirloom Floral was creating all of her beautiful flower arrangements! Some of my favorite flowers for the day were her bouquet and the ones she tucked in her hair, actually. Kenzie chose bright pinks, yellows and whites to include in her florals for the day. I loved all of the pops of color against her simple off-the-shoulder wedding gown. Kenzie looked like a dream!

Before her first look with Madison, Kenzie gifted her mom and sisters necklaces that she had made for them out of her grandmother’s pearls as a surprise. It was so sweet and extra special that her grandmother was there to watch them open it too! After the gift giving and a first look with her bridesmaids, Kenzie headed to the front of their house for a first look with Madison.

Southern Backyard Wedding

Kenzie and Madison chose to “bury the bourbon”, which is a southern wedding tradition. It’s supposed to bring good weather on your wedding day, and it must have worked… the weather was absolutely perfect! Their ceremony was held on the lawn of their home. I can’t imagine how special it felt to have everyone they love at the place they built together. The night ended with a tented wedding reception on the lawn. I know all of their guests had a blast celebrating Kenzie and Madison! There were even more incredible florals around the tent, including the display that had been on the lawn for their ceremony. It made the perfect accent for their sweetheart table. Kenzie and Madison ended the evening with a few fireworks on the back part of their property. It was a fun surprise and a wonderful way to wrap up the celebration.
