Photographing Kenzie and Madison is so special to me because I went to highschool with Kenzie and her twin sister! I’m beyond flattered that she hired me to photograph her wedding this April. Kenzie and Madison have known each other since we were in high school – and now they’re tying the knot. Plus, building this beautiful home together. When Kenzie and Madison asked if we could do an at-home engagement session, I couldn’t say yes fast enough. I was so excited to get a peek into their future home together.
Chic Fall Engagement Session At-Home
Kenzie and Madison’s home is located on a beautiful property in Richfield, NC. The land and the home itself are both incredibly gorgeous – and made for an easy backdrop for me to work with. It was important to all of us to capture both their work on their house and the incredible colors, so we spent time both on their front porch and around the house before wandering through the woods, too. As we worked around the house, I kept telling Kenzie and Madison they’re definitely the next Chip and Jo!! I just can’t get over how incredible their work is.
Their style didn’t just extend to their home, though. Kenzie and Madison planned some super cute, chic fall outfits for their portraits. I always love when my couples include props like hats. Kenzie’s outfits are definitely some great inspiration for other ladies planning fall engagement portraits! Remember, your portraits should reflect YOU. That means you should wear what you love and we should definitely plan them at someplace that’s meaningful to you – like your home or favorite date night spot.
Congratulations again, Kenzie and Madison. I’m so happy I got to spend the afternoon at your beautiful home and I can’t wait for your spring wedding day!
