What to Consider When Picking Your Wedding Shoes

When selecting the type of shoe to wear on your wedding day, consider a few things. First, what does your dress look like? Is it floor-length or shorter? Will your shoes be visible? You’ll want to also think about where you’re going to be walking during the day. If you have an outdoor ceremony on a lawn or beach, stilettos or a thin heel probably aren’t the best options. Alternatively, if you have a church wedding or someplace with a longer aisle, you may want a flat instead of a heel. Some of my brides also use their shoes as a way to bring their favorite color or something blue into their wedding day look. Those are also fun options!

Pumps:

Traditional pumps are a great way to make sure your foot is covered while providing the support you’re looking for. They don’t have to be boring, though! Look for a jeweled or rhinestone covered option for a little extra sparkle on your wedding day.

Chunky Heels and Sandals:

I love, love, love shoes with chunky heels! You can still get the elegance you want with all of the support you need. These are great options for outdoor weddings, especially on lawns or other places you could easily sink into the ground.

Stiletto Heels:

If you’re a girl who loves her stilettos, definitely plan to show them off on your wedding day! These are a great option for indoor weddings and classic bridal looks. Consider a shoe with fun straps and jewels to elevate your bridal look!

Other Fun Options:

Some other playful options include these sweet Ankle Boot or sparkly sneakers! They can be a super fun option if your bridal look is more casual or if you want a second pair of shoes for your reception or exit. I love when my brides swap out their shoes into something more comfortable for their reception so they can party away!
