The Separk Mansion is one of my favorite Charlotte NC wedding venues to photograph wedding days. I’m here a lot, thankfully, and I’ve gotten to know quite a lot of the staff. Caylea, the beautiful bride from this elegant spring Separk Mansion wedding day, is actually one of the coordinators. I get to work with her all the time, so I was honored when she asked me to photograph her and Ben’s gorgeous wedding day! 

Elegant Spring Wedding Day at Separk Mansion

Caylea and Ben are so much fun! They kept everyone laughing and smiling all day long, but they’re also so sweet and thoughtful. The way that they care about each other and everyone who came to celebrate with them showed through every detail of their day. When I arrived to capture Caylea getting ready, I was over the moon. She had so many great details for us to play with when we arrived – perks of being a wedding planner! I played with all of the classic details she brought while she prepped for her first look with Ben.

After getting ready, Caylea and Ben met for their first look inside Separk Mansion. Caylea and Ben chose to have a gorgeous (and I mean GORGEOUS!) floral arch installed for their ceremony, so we decided it would be the perfect spot for their first look. Vintage Soul Floral absolutely rocked all of the flowers of the day, without a doubt. We captured their first look before more portraits around the classic staircase and my favorite patio outside. I loved Caylea’s wedding dress and Ben’s classic white and black tux jacket. They both looked incredible all day long.

Once their first look and wedding ceremony were done, it was time to party! One of my favorite details of the day took place at the reception. Caylea and Ben highlighted grandparents and some other family members through different desserts/treats! It was so special and a wonderful way to honor those who couldn’t be with us. More flowers surrounded their tiered wedding cake – which I loved and found absolutely stunning. Plus, the rest of their elegant reception was equally as beautiful. Caylea’s skills as a wedding planner definitely shone through!
