Victoria & Luke's Rainy Wedding Day at Separk Mansion in Gastonia, NC

I am so excited to be sharing one of the most exciting weddings of the year… Victoria and Luke’s rainy wedding day at Separk Mansion in Gastonia, NC! I have to say… I was totally worried about the weather on this one! They got married in the middle of HURRICANE FLORENCE!

As I was driving to the venue that morning, water was already settling on the roads. I was worried that major flooding would happen and that vendors and guests wouldn’t be able to arrive safely. However… everyone arrived safely (praise God) and the wedding continued!!!

Victoria and Luke are the sweetest of sweetest couples! They shared the most intimate first look in front of a beautiful sign that Victoria created. It was such a sweet moment, and the portraits that followed were amazing!!! Even though we had to do everything inside, it didn’t matter. Separk Mansion is perfect for a rainy wedding day.

Favorite Part of the Wedding Day

Their ceremony was beautiful and so heartfelt! After their sweet family and bridal party photos, the party started!! After dinner, Victoria and her sister Stephanie shared such a sweet dance to Train’s “Hey Soul Sister”, and then Luke gave an amazing speech…then he started SINGING! Then…the GROOMSMEN all got up and started singing with him! It was the song “I Think She Likes Me” which was a special song for them! Victoria cried and so did we!!!

All of Victoria and Luke’s family and friends were the BEST. They all brought such a fun party in the midst of the craziest rainy wedding day. It was SUCH an honor to be part of this beautiful, emotional wedding day. If Victoria and Luke can get through the WORST of a HURRICANE on their wedding day, I’m confident that they can get through any battle together!!! 🙂
