I’m so obsessed with Dana and Brian’s elegant wedding at the Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte NC! They chose a gorgeous black and white palette that worked perfectly in the museum for their celebration. Plus, we lucked out with a beautiful day weather wise for outdoor photos throughout the day. Dana and Brian couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day – and I’m so honored I was there to capture it all! 

Elegant Wedding at the Mint Museum Uptown 

Before we get too far into the story of their wedding day, I have to say I LOVED that everything for their celebration was in one place. It was nice to be planted at the museum all day, instead of bouncing between spots for photos and important moments. Plus, it made the day easier on all of their guests too! Dana and Brian prepared with their loved ones before meeting for a first look on one of the museum’s balconies overlooking Charlotte. It was absolutely beautiful and such a sweet moment. Dana also planned a first look with her dad before that, which I truly cannot get enough of! I love this trend!! 

Charlotte NC Wedding Day Inspiration

After portraits near and around the museum with their bridal party – and as almost newlyweds – Dana and Brian welcomed their guests to their ceremony inside the museum. They actually worked with one of my favorite officiants, Patrick Maloy, who really customizes each ceremony. They’re always so personal and meaningful! It was fun to see him again and hear what he worked on with Dana and Brian. 

The rest of the evening was spent on the iconic black and white dance floor, surrounded by their loved ones! Dana and Brian had such a fantastic time. There were so many fun reception moments I captured including “surfing USA” and “hawaii 5-0”. They definitely know how to have a good time!! I also want to share that so much of the decor that Dana and Brian planned for their wedding day was created by THEM on a 3-D printer. How amazing is that!! They’re both so creative and I think it brought a truly unique element to their wedding day. The seating chart was probably one of my favorite details! 

Congratulations again, Dana and Brian! I’m so happy for you both and I hope that you’ll have many wonderful years together!
