Sweet Baby C has arrived! I had the joy of meeting Shelby and Ricky’s new baby girl this summer when they welcomed her home. We planned a Lifestyle Newborn Session in Winston-Salem NC to commemorate the arrival of their darling little girl. It was extra special to capture this newborn session, because I’ve known C’s mama, Shelby, since we were little. We danced together growing up and last year, I had the privilege of capturing Shelby and Ricky’s pregnancy announcement at one of my Christmas tree farm mini sessions! To finally meet C was amazing!

We wanted to capture the sweet details that make having a newborn baby at home so special during this lifestyle session. We spent almost the entire time in C’s nursery so I could not only capture the sweetest little details that Shelby and Ricky had chosen for her space, but also the new interactions between the three of them. Shelby and Ricky have so seamlessly adjusted to being parents. It’s beautiful to watch people you grew up with step into these new roles. They are absolutely in love with their little girl!

Shelby and Ricky chose some darling little outfits for C for the session. I love the idea of picking out special dresses or hats. It will make the final images that much sweeter and meaningful. It’s why I’m also so happy they decided to include their sweet pups! Now, the entire family is preserved forever in this transition to bring Baby C home.
