Marion Lake Club Wedding
Julia and Ryan’s Marion Lake Club Wedding was nothing short of a dream! The beautiful views were perfect for a peaceful spring wedding in the NC mountains.
Bridal Party Getting Ready
We started the day at a gorgeous home on Lake James with Julia and all of her stunning bridesmaids! Julia’s details for her wedding day were so bright and colorful, and inspired by nature. Her engagement ring and wedding band are so unique! Julia even chose to wear custom Chacos for her wedding day – so cool! After some fun robe photos with her bridesmaids, Julia got dressed in her flowing wedding gown. She even got to share a special “big reveal” moment with her bridesmaids!
Groomsmen Getting Ready
We were able to hang out with the guys for a little while and get their photos done prior to the ceremony. Ryan and his groomsmen wore dapper deep blue suits and stylish paisley ties. They all looked so sharp! They even all had funny socks, which is one of my favorite groomsmen trends.
Marion Lake Clubhouse
After all of the getting ready fun, we headed to the Marion Lake Clubhouse to photograph all of Julia and Ryan’s thoughtful details. The had the cutest favors of honey and jam for their guests! The clubhouse was decorated with lots of colorful flowers and photos from their Pilot Mountain engagement session. There was even lots of extra seating outside, complete with fun cornhole boards and other games for guests to play!
The Wedding Ceremony
Then, it was almost time for the ceremony! We loved the standalone doors for Julia’s grand entrance and the breathtaking mountain view! Right before the ceremony, Julia and her sweet dad shared a special moment together, and Julia rode into the ceremony on a red convertible – how cool is that?! That moment was so precious and beautiful!
During the ceremony, Julia and Ryan shared personal vows that brought tears to everyone’s eyes!
They also shared in a handfasting ceremony. It’s not as popular as a rope tying ceremony or sharing in communion, but it’s one of my favorite wedding traditions. Julia and Ryan had the biggest smiles ever after they were pronounced husband and wife!
Mountain Portraits
After the ceremony, we did a few family formals as well as some more fun bridal party portraits (with the mountain view of course)!
Then it was time for (as always) my favorite part of the day – bride and groom portraits. We had such a great time with Julia and Ryan, and getting to photograph them in front of those gorgeous mountain views was breathtaking! They are such a fun and exciting couple and I loved every second with them!
Marion Lake Club Wedding Reception
Their reception at Marion Lake Club was also loads of fun! I especially enjoyed their first dance, which was full of energy and lots of twirling! Julia and Ryan departed their Marion Lake Club wedding with a birdseed exit, which was very exciting! This is a very old wedding tradition that isn’t as popular now because we have things like confetti, sparklers, and bubbles. It was neat to see them do something different!
Julia and Ryan’s wedding day is one that I will not soon forget, because of their fun-loving and adventurous spirits!
