The Colorful Boho Spring Wedding
Anna and Bailey’s colorful spring wedding at Ritchie Hill is probably one of the most unique weddings I have ever photographed! Anna had such a clear vision for the look and feel of her day and everything came together so beautifully thanks to her talented wedding planner Annie Schiffmacher!
Meeting Anna and Bailey
I had gotten to know Anna through doing her bridal portraits prior to the wedding but I got to meet Bailey on the day of the wedding! They are such an incredibly sweet and fun loving couple, so I knew their wedding day would be a blast.
Boho Details
Anna’s details were so pretty and so unique. Her dress was so lightweight – perfect for a summer wedding – and the lace detail was amazing. Pretty Words by Erin created her invitations and detail cards and the colors tied in perfectly with the rest of her details! I photographed all of Anna‘s pretty jewelry and the rest of her details while Cali Stott Artistry was finishing up the hair and make up! If you need an incredible hair and make up artist, Cali is your girl!! She is one of the sweetest wedding vendors I know, and she’s incredible at what she does!
After hair and make up was officially done, we got some photos of Anna and all of her lovely bridesmaids in their cute pink lace robes! Just look at that sleeve detail – so pretty! I still keep saying to myself that I need to get one of the robes that Anna was wearing because it is one of the prettiest robes I have ever seen!
As for the groomsmen, one thing I loved about the guys’ outfits were all of their stylish ties. Bailey‘s floral tie was a great finishing touch for his look!
Getting Ready
I always love the getting ready part of the day and Anna‘s wedding day was no different. Her mom and older sister helped her get into her gorgeous boho dress from Wildflower Bridal, put on her shoes, and adorn her flower crown! Then, we had a big reveal with all of her precious bridesmaids all decked out in dusty blue Birdy Grey bridesmaid dresses!
First Look
Next, it was time for some bridal party photos of the bridesmaids and groomsmen separately before Anna and Bailey’s First Look. There’s one spot at Ritchie Hill that I always adore and that spot was perfect for most of their photos! Lots of greenery and pretty light make for great photos.
We wanted to give Anna and Bailey some privacy for their first look, so we took them upstairs onto the sleeping porch at Ritchie Hill. It’s a perfect spot for photos when you want space, but a little bit of privacy. It was very sweet – lots of tears shed and big smiles! We took them outside and all around the grounds of Ritchie Hill for some beautiful bride and groom portraits before the ceremony! I love all of the colors in Anna‘s bouquet by Willow Floral Boutique because it gave that extra summery pop of color!
Ritchie Hill Venue Photos
Before the ceremony started, we were in detail heaven photographing the reception space on the grand front porch! All of the china, flatware, and table cloths from Evermore and Polished were actually the same ones that AJ and I used for our own wedding! We were inspired by Anna and Bailey!
The Spring Wedding at Ritchie Hill
Then it was finally time for the ceremony! We got into place and the weather was the most perfect weather you could ask for, with beautiful and glowing light all around them. Bailey was one of the most emotional grooms and I always think it is so incredibly sweet! They shared lots of smiles and laughs and tears during their intimate garden ceremony. Their ceremony exit was spectacular with lots of gorgeous flower petals! Those were some of my favorite photos of the day.
During the reception they celebrated their marriage with a few special dances, a fun pizza buffet catered by True Crafted Catering, cute cupcakes, and lots of dancing of course! They even got a few minutes to sneak away to the front of Ritchie Hill for some extra bride and groom portraits, and a beer!
They ended their perfect spring wedding at Ritchie Hill with a fun sparkler exit at the front of the house and lots of kisses and waves goodbye to all their family and friends!
