The Loft at Plant Seven Wedding
Gentry and Hunter’s beautiful wedding day started at Lawndale Baptist Church in Greensboro. Their reception was at the Loft at Plant Seven in High Point.
If you haven’t already seen Gentry and Hunter’s sweet engagement session, here’s what you need to know about this fun couple: they first met at UNC Greensboro and ended up college sweethearts! Gentry actually became friends with Hunter’s two sisters first – Hunter is a triplet, which is so cool! My husband AJ and I met in college as well, so I might be biased, but I think college sweethearts are the best! The community surrounding them at their wedding was such a beautiful nod to their time at college and the friends they shared there.
Getting Ready Portraits
Everyone in the wedding party got ready at the church, and the girls and guys had separate getting ready spaces. I always love the getting ready part of the day because there’s so much anticipation! Just look at Hunter’s handsome groom portraits, and all of the fun robe portraits of Gentry and her beautiful bridesmaids!
The Wedding Dress
Gentry’s wedding dress is probably one of my favorites ever!!! I am a sucker for a beautiful A-line gown. Hers looked very similar to my own wedding dress, so I might be a little biased! Gentry was such a fun and detail-oriented bride, and the getting ready part of the day was no different! We took care to put her beautiful veil in and even got a sweet photo of her “I do” nails! That is something I had never seen before and a detail that I loved!
The Emotional First Look
Before the ceremony, we traveled to Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden to do all of their portraits. We started with one of the sweetest bridesmaid reveals ever! Just look at all of those emotional photos! Gentry also got to share a sweet first look with her dad.
Her third first look was with her soon to be husband Hunter of course! I just love the privacy and intimacy of first looks, especially when the groom cries… how sweet!
Bridal Party Portraits
Right after their first look, we had the opportunity to do bridal party portraits in the garden, which was so beautiful! Then, we got to split up guys and girls and do bridesmaid and groomsmen portraits separately. One of my favorite details was the beautiful deep pops of burgundy in the girls’ bouquets and the flowing ribbons. It was just perfect! Gentry and Hunter also had the cutest flower girls in the world, complete with beautiful flower crowns. They looked adorable!
Bride and Groom Portraits
Then, we got to do some fun bride and groom portraits in the garden before we headed back to the church. Gentry and Hunter are seriously model material. One of my very favorite moments of the day was taking portraits of Gentry standing on the stone staircase in the garden. It was just picture perfect like something out of a magazine!!! Gentry’s long flowing veil was perfect for the bride and groom portraits. I couldn’t have asked for anything more beautiful! The weather was perfect too, which made things even better. I was in wedding photographer heaven!
The Classic Church Ceremony
The ceremony was so sweet, with an exchange of personal vows and lots of support from the family and bridal party! They exited at the church with a huge line of guests waving confetti and holding umbrellas because it had begun to rain!
The Loft at Plant Seven Reception
After they hopped into their getaway car. We headed to the Loft at Plant Seven in High Point for their reception. It was a breathtakingly beautiful venue with a dramatic tunnel entrance and a loft with a very industrial look. It was such an open space where guests could mingle and move around freely!
We got to spend some time shooting all of their beautiful navy and burgundy details before they made their grand entrance as husband and wife. Then, Gentry and Hunter danced under the market lights with all of their many guests watching their romantic first dance. Gentry shared a sweet and fun dance with her dad! Hunter also got to share a sweet dance with his mom, who was smiling the whole time. Their wedding cake was just gorgeous with a very cute “We Do” topper and flower accents. They also had cupcakes available for guests as well as a cute ice cream bar. It was heaven for someone with a sweet tooth like me!
A Surprise Bridesmaid Dance
One of the best moments of the reception was a choreographed dance by all of the bridesmaids especially for Hunter! It was an amazing moment that had everyone’s attention. Every single bridesmaid had amazing moves!
An Amazing Wedding Day
Gentry and Hunter’s wedding day was one of the most memorable wedding days because of all of the hard work they had put into every detail! The reception was so much fun, and it is so clear to me how much they adore their family and friends, and how much they are adored by them!
