Sarah P. Duke Gardens Engagement Session

Whitney and Logan decided to have their winter engagement session at Sarah P Duke Gardens. It is such a gorgeous location in Durham, North Carolina at Duke University, and I’m so glad they chose it because I had never been there before!

Stylish Engagement Outfit

Whitney and Logan are a very stylish couple and it really shows in their photos! Whitney’s beautiful teal lace dress was a perfect start for their engagement session!

Exploring Sarah P. Duke Gardens

We explored all over the Sarah P. Duke Gardens and there were so many beautiful spots. The gardens are a little overwhelming if you have never been before. It makes you want to stop at almost every corner because it’s just so pretty and well-kept. There are even some areas with really lovely water features, and we had to stop and get some portraits of them with the beautiful water reflecting all of the soft winter evening light.

The Casual Engagement Outfit

Whitney and Logan brought a second more casual outfit as well. I always encourage my couples to bring a casual outfit second, so they can be really comfortable at the end of their session and snuggle up together even more. Her slouchy sweater and her beautiful tall boots were perfect!

The Full Engagement Shoot

One of my favorite things about Whitney and Logan is how smiley they are, and how much we all laughed together! They are just so much fun to be around, and I can’t wait to show you their wedding photos! They got married in May 2019 and it was such a perfect day.

Just as a sidenote, Whitney‘s hair always looks AMAZING and her eyes popped so well in their photos! I just love both of their beautiful smiles and the session was so much fun!
