One of my favorite things to sing during worship is The Doxology, and this version gives me chills and makes me smile every single time. I have been singing this short, sweet hymn for as long as I can remember. Worship communities are very important to me, and the relationships that bloom from them are […]

I had the pleasure of getting to know Rachel through a photography class during my sophomore year of college. I always knew her as a genuine and beautiful person, so when she asked me to do her bridal portraits, naturally I said yes! Rachel is not only incredibly sweet, she is also incredibly stunning! It […]

I can’t believe I haven’t shared Shelby & Justin’s engagement session until now! I met up with these two in downtown Kannapolis, North Carolina, and we took photos all around downtown and the NC Research Campus. I always love shooting there because there are so many gorgeous spots around the campus! Shelby and Justin have […]

Bridal Portraits. It’s a Southern tradition. I love seeing a bride dressed up on her wedding day, looking in the mirror before going down the aisle and knowing how truly beautiful she is. She has chosen the perfect dress and glittering jewelry, her best friends and family members are surrounding her, and her groom is […]

This stunning bride was married this past Saturday! I have been waiting anxiously to share her beautiful bridal portraits! I had the immense joy of meeting Christina and doing her bridal portraits one Tuesday morning in May, and doing her and CJ’s engagement photos the same evening!  We did Christina’s bridal portraits at The Inn […]

In April, I had the opportunity to attend an amazing workshop put on by Casey Hendrickson At Ritchie Hill in Concord, North Carolina. I had been following Casey’s work for a long time and jumped at the opportunity to meet her and learn from her!  After we had an amazing time of learning gathered around […]

One year ago, The Rising Tide Society was born.  It is an online community that was born out of the desire for community over competition in creative industries. Just in this one year, I have made so many amazing connections with fellow rising tide members. I have met people not only through the Charlotte, NC and […]
