For Brides

June 3, 2016

One year ago, The Rising Tide Society was born.  It is an online community that was born out of the desire for community over competition in creative industries. Just in this one year, I have made so many amazing connections with fellow rising tide members. I have met people not only through the Charlotte, NC and Boone, NC Tuesdays Together groups, but also through Facebook. I have done several collaborations with creatives I have connected with through social media, and I think that’s awesome!!!

My most recent collaboration has been with a lovely lady named bekah….She is a wedding dress designer in Atlanta, Georgia. She posted in the Rising Tide Facebook group that she was planning an east coast road trip, and she was looking for photographers to photograph her designs along the way! What a cool idea, am I right?! She traveled up and down the east coast, and I was her last stop before she went back to Atlanta! We had a beautiful day to shoot at Moses Cone Estate on the Blue Ridge Parkway! You can see more of Bekah’s gorgeous designs on her Facebook Page or on her website:

Riley (@rileydobbins) is dressed in a flowy, Boho two piece.  The skirt is a double layered chiffon and is a gathered A-line shape.  The top is a high neck, halter style with an open flowing back.

Then it was Faith’s turn to model (@faith_kristen).  She is wearing a strapless gown with a ballgown style skirt with a full netted tutu underneath for volume.  This look was the essence of Southern Romance and gave an impression of Scarlett O’Hara of “Gone With the Wind” as she walked down the windy path.

Lastly, we shot sweet Rachel (@r_austin897).  She wore a fully boned bright white corset laced with a wide white ribbon and a full circle tulle skirt. She looked like she was straight out of Narnia and was such a joy to work with.

Hair and makeup was done by Reilly Donahue (@reiibread) & Hayley Pickerel (@heartsforhayley). Thank you so much ladies, you are all so talented!
