Karsen and Michael are getting married! We celebrated their upcoming November wedding with an engagement session this summer. Karsen and Michael decided to have their session at their wedding venue: the Farmstead! If you’ve been around the blog for a bit, you know how much I love this beautiful venue and I’m all about planning your engagement session at the same place as your wedding day. It just gives you such a nice variety of images from a place you love. 

The Farmstead Engagement Session

One of the things that I love most about Karsen and Michael is that they complement each other so well. Karsen is so outgoing and bubbly and Michael is such a romantic! It was a joy to watch them together during our engagement session. They were happy and laughing together, just enjoying themselves – which is really what an engagement session is all about. 

Karsen and Michael both love the farm setting, which is one of the reasons that they chose the Farmstead for their wedding day. Knowing that we’ll be back in a few months here together, we had a bit of fun exploring more of the property than I usually get to on a wedding day. In fact, we got to go down to the lake and to their other barn. We even had a chance for Karsen and Michael to pose with their vintage truck. It was the perfect way to capture more of what makes this property so unique. We had a beautiful day for their session, too – and the weather was perfect for some really great pulled back photos of them and the landscape. The final images are so dreamy! 

Karsen and Michael, I can’t wait for your wedding day! You know that I love November weddings (since ours was in November, too!). It’s going to be absolutely beautiful. I’ll see you so, so soon to celebrate!
