Allison and Nick are SO sweet. I loved every moment of our Blue RIdge Parkway engagement session this year. Allison is actually the twin sister of one of my previous KDP brides, Anna. I photographed Anna’s wedding last year. It turns out they’re going to be having pretty similar wedding days and I just can’t wait!!! 

Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement Session at Moses Cone Manor

I always love working along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s so beautiful, no matter what time of year I’m there. I’m so happy that Allison and Nick chose to do their portraits here. We began our session at the Moses Cone Manor before exploring more of the grounds as the sun set. Allison and Nick chose bright and fun outfits that worked perfectly – but I really LOVE how their last outfits look around all the grass and wooden fences. 

Allison and Nick met online a little after Anna’s wedding last year and found out they were perfect for each other! Allison and Nick are very Christ-centered in everything they do, so it’s extra special to watch their relationship grow. I loved hearing more about them and how they’ve grown together over the last year. 

Allison is also a nurse, like her sister, and she specializes in postpartum work. I loved getting to talk to her about that work, especially since this was my first session back from maternity leave after having my own little girl! I appreciated her humoring me and being so open about her work. It was really special to have that connection with her! 

Allison and Nick, I’m SO looking forward to your wedding day and I just adore you both so much! Thank you for a wonderful engagement session in the mountains!
