Blue Ridge Parkway Engagement Session: Rena and Ryan

For Brides

November 5, 2020

Rena and Ryan are such a perfect couple! When Rena reached out about their Boone NC engagement session, I was so excited! I met her when we were in the same dorm at Appalachian State. So, seeing her again was a bit of a throwback, ha! Rena and Ryan were so laid back our entire session and completely trusted my vision for their fall mountain session, which I completely appreciated! We had a great time exploring along the Blue Ridge Parkway together. My husband AJ even came along, which was soooo fun! He rarely tags along to my sessions so I loved getting to have him with me. I can’t wait for you to see all of Rena and Ryan’s portraits!

Boone NC Engagement Session

We started their session off at Moses Cone Manor, which is on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Although it’s a SUPER popular spot usually, we lucked out. There weren’t very many people and it was nice to feel like we had the place to ourselves. Rena and Ryan chose the perfect outfits for their fall portraits and they looked great against the manor. Before leaving the property, we found the most beautiful tree full of yellows, reds, and oranges! I just LOVE these fall colors!

After we left Moses Cone Manor, we headed to Thunder Hill Overlook. I always enjoy the views from this spot. It’s another popular location and was super busy, unlike Moses Cone Manor. There was actually a wedding going on and at least 5 other photographers there… but we made it work! Looking at Rena and Ryan’s portraits, you’d never know!

Enjoy a few of my favorites from their Boone NC engagement session this fall!

See some other recent engagement sessions in Uptown Charlotte and the McGill Rose Garden!
