Congratulations to Emily and DJ! I recently captured a really exciting studio pregnancy announcement for their family in one of my favorite Concord NC studios. This session was extra special because I’ve captured Emily and DJ through a few stages of their lives – including Emily’s 30th birthday session! Now, they’re expecting a baby boy in October and I couldn’t be happier for them. My joy is definitely two-fold as I wait to welcome my own baby girl this year, too! 

Studio Pregnancy Announcement

Emily and DJ talked about a studio session from the start with their pregnancy portraits. I actually really loved the idea. A studio allowed us to capture all of their sweet props easily – and we didn’t have to worry about weather. Plus all of the gorgeous natural light and white backdrop made for a beautiful space for us to get creative in. Emily and DJ brought their baby’s sonogram, a fun balloon, and a cute little onesie. We had a great time playing with their props and just capturing the joy of this special time in their lives. Emily and DJ have had a long journey with IVF to get here. But I know they’re both so grateful for what’s ahead of them. 

Near the end of their session, Emily and I captured a few portraits of her with her baby bump. This was pretty early in her pregnancy, so I’m so happy we could document the start of this journey – and I can’t wait to see more of her and her bump throughout the next few months! I’m SO happy for you both, Emily and DJ and I can’t wait to meet your little boy in the fall!!
