Every couple I work with is SO special to me. But every once in a while, I get the chance to photograph an engagement session and wedding day for someone I’ve known for years, like Hollis. When that happens, everything just feels a bit more emotional and personal to me. I’ve known Hollis and his family for years and photographed them a few times. When he and Rebecca reached out about me capturing their wedding day, I was just so honored! I couldn’t wait to meet Rebecca. Their Downtown Concord engagement session didn’t disappoint and it was so good to meet her and see Hollis again!
Portraits at St. James Lutheran Church in Downtown Concord
When we began to plan their Downtown Concord engagement session, Rebecca and Hollis mentioned starting their session St. Lutheran Church, which is where their ceremony will be. It wound up being a perfect spot to begin our session. The church doors and stairs were absolutely beautiful – and I still love the look of them so much!! Afterwards, we spent some time walking through Downtown. Rebecca’s only request was some “walking across the street” photos and they’re some of my favorites now from their gallery. I love how natural Rebecca and Hollis really are together. They had such a great time during their portraits – just getting to spend an evening celebrating their relationship.
Rebecca and Hollis, thank you for traveling back from Hickory to Concord for your engagement session. I seriously loved working with you both and can’t wait for your wedding day here! I know your Hotel Concord reception will be stunning and I’m so, so excited to celebrate the next chapter of your life together with you both!
See another gorgeous downtown Concord engagement session here!
