Emily and Ryan are just the CUTEST! Their classic Charlotte NC summer engagement session was so much fun to photograph, too. We got together this summer for their portraits, and while it was definitely warm, we managed and still had a great time! To me, their session was a quintessential Charlotte engagement session at two of my favorite parks in the city. Emily and Ryan will get married this weekend at Separk Mansion and I can’t wait to celebrate with them!  

Summer Engagement Session in Charlotte NC

For Emily and Ryan, we chose to do two different locations in Charlotte. We started at Fourth Ward Park and then moved to Freedom Park. They’re two of my all-time favorite places to shoot engagement session around the city. Despite the warm evening, we still had a great time. I loved getting to know Emily and Ryan better during our session. That’s probably one of the best part about any engagement session – time with my couple where we can talk and laugh and just have fun!! It was easy to imagine that this is how Emily and Ryan might spend an evening together, walking through the park and having a good time.

As someone who photographs sessions here often, I am still always in awe of how gorgeous both Fourth Ward Park and Freedom Park look in the evening. Although we had to work around everyone walking their dogs, we managed some truly beautiful shots of this happy couple!
