A Duke Mansion Engagement Session
Mary Catherine and Chris were originally supposed to get married on June 27. However, due to the pandemic they have rescheduled her wedding for August 1. I can’t wait to celebrate with them! An engagement session at Duke Mansion in Charlotte, NC was the perfect way to begin the festivities.
Rainy Summer Engagement
June and July in North Carolina are known for pop-up storms in the afternoon and evening. On the summer day we scheduled their engagement session, it wasn’t even supposed to rain and a storm popped out of nowhere. Luckily we were able to work around it!
Duke Mansion Rose Garden
Duke Mansion has so many beautiful areas. The rose garden is probably my favorite spot! We did the majority of their engagement session in the rose garden and in the covered areas in front of the mansion. I loved Mary Catherine and Chris’s first outfit especially – Mary Catherine’s breezy blue pin stripe summer dress and Chris’s polo were so pretty among the roses that were in full bloom!
A Disney Engagement Session
They also chose to wear Disney T-shirts and Mickey Mouse ears for part of their session because Chris proposed to Mary Catherine at Disney World! What a dream come true! They also brought Chris’s son, who is also going to be the ring-bearer at their wedding – so sweet! We got to capture some family portraits throughout the shoot.
The Farmstead Wedding
I really enjoyed finally getting to meet Mary Catherine and Chris after so much planning for their wedding! I can’t wait to celebrate with them at the Farmstead in Concord on August 1!
Venue: Duke Mansion
