I absolutely love getting to work with other wedding vendors on projects that are not weddings! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love working weddings all the time… they’re my favorite! However, when we get to do a shoot together we have the creativity and freedom to design the shoot however we envision it! It’s always so exciting!

The Delish Cakery Experience

I arrived at her adorable bakery one morning and got the grand tour of her tasting room and kitchen. It is seriously such a cute space! I did some photos of the outside of her brick building first, and then we got to start being creative in the tasting room. 

Aryn wanted her clients to see what it would look like when they arrived for their wedding cake tasting, so we decided to include that in the shoot. I love that she has a tray full of different cake flavors and frosting flavors to mix and match! Her tasting room is so stylishly decorated and welcoming! She also showed me how she can sketch a design of a couples wedding cake while they are doing their tasting. I thought that was the coolest thing ever! 

Next we headed to the kitchen to play with some sugar flowers. Aryn is well known for her intricate and realistic sugar flower designs. She walked me through the process of creating sugar flowers and I photographed every step. I was blown away with how much detail she can get and how incredibly realistic they look! It is definitely a detail that can add so much wow factor to a wedding cake. I took some photos of her working as well as some of her with her cakes. She really spoiled me and designed some beautiful cakes for our shoot! 

Last but not least, we worked in the kitchen and she created a three layer cake from the ground up. This cake was a yummy chocolate cake with caramel layers and delicious white frosting. One of my favorite parts was when she melted the caramel and drizzled it over the layers! Not to mention the fact that she sent me home with the entire cake… and YES I shared it with my family and we ate every bit!!!
