Photographing Candice and Brian’s The Brawley Estate wedding in Mooresville, NC was such a treat! Their big day was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and laid-back celebration. From the very beginning, they made sure to keep the focus on enjoying every moment and trusting the process, so they could fully relax and celebrate with the people they love most. It was such a joy to document this beautiful day at one of the most stunning wedding venues near Lake Norman.

Elegant Wedding Venue in Mooresville, NC

The Brawley Estate is a historically rich and timelessly beautiful, privately owned wedding venue sitting on 22 acres. The private, gated property offers multiple outdoor ceremony sites, as well as a gorgeous Main House perfect for intimate celebrations.

The estate’s elegant architecture and natural surroundings create the most romantic backdrop for wedding photography. Candice and Brian’s soft, romantic color palette elevated the already beautiful setting even more.

A Relaxed & Joy-Filled Wedding Day

Candice and Brian are one of those couples who instantly make you feel at ease. They are so laid back and fully trusted me throughout the day, which I appreciate more than I can say! Their bridal party groups were small and relaxed, which created such a calm and enjoyable atmosphere from start to finish. Everything was low key and focused on having fun.

Their beautiful outdoor ceremony was officiated by Patrick Maloy, who is truly one of my favorites. His ceremonies are always so thoughtful, personal, and heartfelt. He has a gift for making each couple feel seen and celebrated in such a meaningful way.

Thanks to Libby and her incredible team from Details Wedding Planning (another favorite of mine!), the entire day flowed seamlessly. Every detail was handled beautifully, allowing Candice and Brian to stay present and simply enjoy their wedding day. We were also gifted with absolutely perfect weather. The sunshine during golden hour was a dream, and we took full advantage of it when we captured Candice and Brian’s newlywed photos.

As the evening unfolded, guests gathered beneath the reception pavilion to celebrate the newlyweds. The estate’s sprawling grounds and elegant setting provided the perfect space for laughter, heartfelt moments, and a packed dance floor. I really loved all the personal details they incorporated into their day, like the custom cocktail napkins and signature drink sign that featured an adorable image of their dog. The matchbox party favors featured a sketch of a golf cart, while the custom drink koozie had their initials with golf clubs, as a nod to their love of golf. After an unforgettable evening of dancing and celebrating, guests gathered for a sparkler send off for the newlyweds.
