I am so excited to be sharing this gorgeous late summer family session with you! The Ridge family gathered at Cullman Park in Ballantyne for a special reason. One of their sons is preparing to leave for two years of missionary work for their church! Before his big journey, they wanted to capture this meaningful moment with a family photo session, celebrating being all together. It was such a joy to document this chapter of their lives and I love that capturing their Cullman Park family photos was a priority for them!

We had a blast highlighting each of the Ridge kids individually, letting their personalities shine through. They’re all a joy and I enjoyed a chance to slow down with each of the children so they could show off for a moment. Of course, we captured plenty of beautiful moments with the whole family. There was laughter, a few heartfelt hugs, and a lot of love to go around. This is definitely a big transition point for this family and my own heart was aching for these parents, as a mom myself.

Cullman Park in Ballantyne is a gem for family photo sessions. With its peaceful walking trails, open green spaces, and natural light filtering through the trees, it’s the perfect backdrop for creating timeless family portraits. I love that the Ridge family opted for a dressier look. The blues of the guys’ suits and the patterns for the girls’ dresses looked amazing together and in the park!!
