One of the biggest blessings of owning my business is being able to connect with people – old and new. Bailey is one of those people that I’ve known for many years and it is such an honor to be the one documenting her relationship with Luke! I grew up with Bailey and her family in church, and I had the absolute joy of photographing her big sister, McKenzie, and her husband Josh on their wedding day about 6 years ago. It means the world to me to be able to be a part of another one of their celebrations for Bailey and Luke! I met up with them this summer to capture their Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden engagement session – and I can’t wait to share it with you now!

I’ve done so many weddings at this beautiful venue, but this was my first time visiting the gardens for an engagement session. I think it was the perfect pick for Bailey and Luke! My favorite part of engagement sessions, besides capturing some beautiful photos, is getting to hang out with my couples. Bailey, Luke, and I chatted about our love of Appalachian State – and how it brought them together, like me and my husband! It was fun to reminisce about our school and dream about what their wedding day is going to look like, too! 

Bailey and Luke are getting married this spring at Separk Mansion, so you know I can’t wait for that day! Separk Mansion is one of my FAVORITE Charlotte wedding venues. It will be a beautiful day – and I am so looking forward to seeing everyone!
