I am SO happy to share that Abby and Lachlan are married! I’ve known Abby for a very long time. Back in the day, I actually photographed her high school senior portraits and prom photos. To see her now, as a bride, is such a fulfilling and special moment for me as a friend and as her photographer! Abby and Lachlan hosted a gorgeous and super classy spring wedding at Separk Mansion in May. Abby has such an eye for detail, so I knew that it was going to be a stunning wedding day… and I was right! 

Classy Spring Wedding at Separk Mansion 

Abby and Lachlan both got ready onsite. I know I’ve said it before, but the mansion has such beautiful getting ready spaces for both the bride and groom. It’s worth prepping on site and saving yourself the time and transportation struggle, ha! After Abby was ready in her incredible strapless ball gown, she met her father for a first look in one of my favorite spots at Separk Mansion: the sunroom! There’s just something so classy about that black and white tile! 

She and Lachlan saw each other for the first time during their ceremony out in the gardens of the mansion. It was easy to see that Lachlan was immediately enamored with Abby’s bridal look. She was beautiful, so I don’t blame him at all! Their ceremony was extra special too, because Lachlan’s dad officiated it for them. How awesome is that?! After their ceremony, we took our time exploring the property and capturing their first photos as husband and wife. Abby and Lachlan looked so incredibly happy the entire time they were together – and I couldn’t stop smiling! 

Chic Wedding Reception in Charlotte NC

When we were done, Abby and Lachlan met their guests for their reception inside the mansion. I loved that they stuck to a classic and elegant color palette with ivory, gold, and greenery accents throughout the space. It looked incredible! Abby surprised the guests (and Lachlan) with a second look – a fun little white party dress. It was a great idea so she could dance and celebrate in style! After she changed, Abby and Lachlan enjoyed the reception together – including a fun champagne tower. It was amazing!!!
