I recently met up with Dianna and Andrew to capture their Summerfield Farms engagement session. They chose to have their session here because they’ll be hosting their wedding day at the farm, too! I always love when couples want to have their engagement photos and wedding photos at the same spot. It makes it so fun to come back months later and do more photos in the same spot – but as a married couple! 

Engagement Session on Summerfield Farms

Dianna and Andrew are such fantastic people. I immediately felt at ease with them and I’m so happy that they’ve chosen me as their NC wedding photographer! They’re a joy to be around. In fact, we realized that they had been guests at a past wedding of mine. I love those full circle moments!! As we walked around Summerfield Farms, Dianna and Andrew shared more of their love story – some of which I want to share with you because it’s just so sweet! 

Their Proposal 

Andrew and Dianna had casually planned to go hiking one Sunday afternoon. On the day of, it was raining very hard and windy, and Dianna wasn’t sure if they were still planning on going. Andrew bundled them both up in rain coats and special boots so that they could still go hiking. They pulled up to Hanging Rock (which is where they had our first date) and when they pulled up, they were the only ones in the parking lot because of the weather. Together, Dianna and Andrew got up the mountain quickly – where Andrew then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! Afterwards, their family and friends were already at their house to celebrate – which made the day even more special! 

I thought it was so sweet! Andrew and Dianna also told me what they love most about each other:
