I absolutely adore Kim and Ryan! Kim and I clicked from our first phone call! She is so lovely – sweet, kind, just such a ray of sunshine! When I met Ryan, I knew that they were meant to be together! They’re just so precious!! Kim and Ryan are getting married in September, so we planned a sweet engagement session around Charlotte to celebrate. 

Independence Park Engagement Session

We kicked off Kim and Ryan’s Independence Park engagement session at the park. Independence Park has the most beautiful stone arches and they were the perfect backdrop for Kim and Ryan. Kim chose a gorgeous flowing gown with lots of pops of color to wear, and Ryan matched with a navy blazer. If you need inspiration for your own engagement session, definitely take a cue from these two (and I have more tips here!). It was a little bit chilly but we walked through some of the park to capture some portraits in nature. 

Kim and Ryan wanted to end their engagement session at Legion Brewing. This brewery was actually the spot of their first date, so I loved being able to include it in these special photos! Kim and Ryan got to relax, have a drink, and celebrate their upcoming wedding. Plus, when I left, they were ready to just enjoy a date night together – which is always such a great idea after your engagement photos!! 

Congratulations again, Kim and Ryan! I’m so happy for you both and I’m thrilled we could capture these engagement portraits that just feel so YOU. I can’t wait for your fall wedding!!!
