Katherine and Luke are getting married!!! These two are definitely special to me – Katherine’s mom used to keep my brother and me after school in elementary school. So, she’s been in my life for a long time. Now, being able to capture her next big chapter in life as her friend and wedding photographer means the world to me. She and Luke planned a Downtown Davidson engagement session and I have to admit that it’s one of my favorite places for engagement photos lately. 

Downtown Davidson Engagement Session

Davidson is a cute little town in North Carolina. It’s quiet and quaint – and the perfect spot for photos. With lots of fun details, like their courthouse steps, colorful downtown buildings, and brick walls… it’s a great place to play for photos. I truly enjoyed spending the evening with Katherine and Luke. Katherine is so sweet, genuine, and just radiates happiness. Luke is just as wonderful and I love how he treats Katherine. They’re perfect for each other. 

Katherine and Luke have known each other for many years, but reconnected in 2020. On their first date, they got ice cream… so we made sure to include a stop at the Davidson ice cream shop to end their portraits. I love when we can tie in little parts of your love story like that to your photos! It makes them so special and unique. Plus… who doesn’t love ice cream?!

Katherine and Luke are getting married this spring, in May. I’m SO excited for them to be husband and wife so soon. I know it will be a truly beautiful spring day and I can’t wait to celebrate with them both. Congratulations again, you two! I’m so happy for you!
