Taryn and Michael are married! They hosted the most beautiful and intimate fall wedding alongside Lake Norman and the whole thing was simply stunning. I rarely photograph weddings solo, but it was a nice change of pace to have such a small and sweet wedding to spend the day at. I actually got to bring AJ along to assist me throughout the day. Taryn and Michael’s families were so gracious to us both and I can’t thank them enough for that. It meant the world! 

Lakeside Wedding at Lake Norman

This beautiful October wedding was held right along the waterfront, in the backyard of the home they were using. I honestly think that one of my favorite parts of the day was their ceremony. It was simple and perfect. Taryn and Michael welcomed around 15 guests to help them tie the knot and you could just feel the intimacy of the whole day everywhere. I want to give a shoutout, too. Even with a smaller wedding, things can get off easily. But, Taryn’s best friend Tricia is a wedding planner and did an amazing job coordinating everything! It all ran smoothly and the whole day was perfect.

Emotional Lakeside Wedding Day

Before the ceremony, Taryn had a first look with her dad. It was super sweet!! I will always get emotional at father-daughter first looks. There’s nothing like them. And speaking of emotional moments, their waterfront ceremony was definitely special, too. It was intimate and quiet, but also a chance for their family and friends to reflect on their relationship. Michael’s daughter, Francesca, was so precious – I kept catching her getting teary during the ceremony! After the ceremony, we captured so many amazing family portraits before I stole Taryn and Michael away for some portraits alone. There were tons of beautiful spots for photos – I might have gone a bit overboard!! They ended the night with an incredible dinner in the house. The place settings were gorgeous – with little touches of fall – and their private chef was AMAZING! 

Congratulations again, Taryn and Michael. Your intimate wedding day is definitely one I will never forget! I’m so happy for you both!!
