Mooresville Bridal Portraits at Old Farmhouse | Ellie

Bridals

May 3, 2022

I know I’ve talked about how much I love bridal portraits, but I’m not sure I’ve said it enough so, let me say it again! I LOVE bridal portrait sessions! There’s nothing like getting to see my brides all dressed up and looking so beautiful. I adore this extra time with them and the chance to celebrate what being a bride is all about. Ellie’s gorgeous farmhouse bridal portraits in Mooresville, NC were no exception. I’m so excited to be sharing them with you today!

Mooresville Bridal Portraits

Ellie chose to use an old farmhouse property for her bridal portraits. I have to admit, I’m pretty glad we did this. I think it was a really unique and fun backdrop for her portraits. Bridal portraits are a Southern tradition (or at least they were to start), so being able to capture Ellie’s portraits near a farmhouse really made me feel connected to this tradition.

Ellie looked absolutely stunning! Her dress was actually custom designed by Emily Kotarski, which is incredible. I love the lace sleeves and detailed shoulder caps. Everything really just felt so elegant and perfect for Ellie. Together, we explored the property – one of my favorite spots to photograph her was actually on the front porch! The light came in at such a beautiful angle, it was fun to play with. One thing that was unique was that both of her parents came to her bridal portraits, so we also made sure to capture a few portraits with them. I love that! Usually it’s just mom or a sister, so yay!

Oh, Ellie! You make such a beautiful bride! Thank you for trusting me to document this incredibly special time in your life. I’m so excited to share these portraits and I hope you’ll cherish them for years to come!
