Kristin and Alex had the most elegant Charlotte wedding day at the Separk Mansion, literally one of my favorite venues in the area. And from the moment I arrived through the end of the night, their day was just SO much fun. Not to mention filled with love. Kristin and Alex are some of the most kind people I’ve ever met and their family made me feel like I was one of their own the entire day, too. I’m so excited for you to see this seriously beautiful day!
Elegant Charlotte Wedding
Kristin decided to do a few first looks before the ceremony. The first was with her brother and her dad. It was super sweet and unique to include her brother. I think more brides should do that!! Afterwards, she had a first look with her bridesmaids too. It was fun to connect with other Appalachian State university alumna. Although I didn’t know Kristin during my time at App State, it was a lot of fun to meet them all and it turned out two of my friends were part of the wedding day!
Finally, Kristin and Alex met for their first look! One of the things that stood out to me most during Kristin and Alex’s wedding day was their foot washing ceremony during their first look. They actually did this sweet tradition together privately before their ceremony. It was a great chance for them to focus on each other in the middle of their busy day. When it was time for their main ceremony, it was SO faith centered which I absolutely loved. It was meaningful to them and seriously so beautiful. And I still get emotional looking at her walking down the aisle with her dad at the start of the ceremony. I mean it when I say they were so sweet the entire day.
A Fun-Filled Reception
Kristin and Alex DEFINITELY had a dancing crowd during their reception! Their incredible DJ kept everyone on the dance floor and it was so much to see their guests enjoying themselves. He even played the Appalachian State fight song! We all had a great time with that one. I loved seeing my couple enjoy themselves and really just be happy. That’s what wedding days are all about: getting married and celebrating with those you love.
Congratulations again, Kristin and Alex! I’m SO happy for your both and loved your wedding day. It was so, so beautiful and I’m honored I was a part of it!
