Carolina Country Weddings: High Tea Inspiration Shoot

Styled Shoots

March 23, 2021

Spring is officially here, and I personally couldn’t be more glad! With all of the flowers starting to poke through and the warmer weather, I started thinking about some of my all-time favorite spring sessions and weddings. Immediately, this High Tea inspired Carolina Country wedding day came to mind. I photographed this stunning styled shoot in spring of 2019 (I know, I’m a bit behind!) but I’m excited to be sharing it with you today. The entire day was designed by Kacie at Honey Belle Events. There were so many incredible details and moments, I didn’t know what to do with myself!!

Carolina Country Weddings

Carolina Country Weddings is the SWEETEST little venue located just outside of Charlotte. It’s quiet and so charming. I loved being here for the styled shoot. With miles of green fields, it’s truly a dream come true. I have to give a quick shout out to Melanie, the owner of Carolina Country Weddings. She was so gracious and welcoming the entire time we were there capturing this styled shoot. Like I said, Kacie gave us so many beautiful details to capture – I was in awe the entire time. She handmade so many pieces of this high tea celebration!

High Tea Inspiration Shoot

For the styled shoot, we had two amazing models: Rachel and Jackson. I was so excited to work with them! Not only are they relaxed and fun people, but they’re talented too. They performed at my wedding!! Most of the shoot centered around the two of them. Rachel had a gorgeous gown to wear – and Jackson looked pretty dapper in his grey suit. Along with them as our bride and groom, we had a small bridal party! It’s not often you have a bridal party at styled shoots, so that was a ton of fun! And speaking of fun, Rachel and Jackson had the chance to pose with a sweet puppy (thanks to Catey of West Mint Media’s mother in law!). She was SO tiny and precious. Everyone just loved that little puppy!!!

After we captured some romantic portraits along the property, I was able to dive into more of the details. With the help of some incredible Charlotte wedding vendors, a chic high tea reception table was created. With the sweetest details and little foods, everything looked perfect. And that wedding cake was just soooo pretty! I love the light green they chose to ice the cake with. It was the right pop of color against all of the vintage glassware for the day.

Thank you again to everyone involved! With your guidance and expertise (and time!), we created such a gorgeous springtime Carolina Country Wedding spread. I’m so honored I was asked to capture this for everyone! If you’re a local wedding vendor planning a styled shoot, please feel free to reach out to me! I LOVE photographing these events. They’re always incredibly beautiful and full of so much talent!!!
