November 2017 Goals

Goals

November 1, 2017

Hello there friends! Happy November!!!

October came and went so quickly! It was a great month filled with wonderful things, and I am so excited about what November holds!

This is my second ever goals blog post, so I am going to do an October recap first!

October Goal Recap:

Business:

Blog the remaining 2017 weddings. This did not happen, and it’s okay. October was a crazy month. Blogging had to wait. I don’t know what it is, but I dread writing blog posts, and being busy didn’t help my case!

Editing: Gain 3 new clients for either this fall or for next year! This totally happened! I am SO excited about my new editing clients from all over the country!!!

Finish watching the KJ Posing Course I bought IN THE SPRING. I did it!!! I watched every video and read every PDF guide in the course, and goodness it helped so much! I implemented lots of what I learned in a recent engagement session. Now, I will feel confident even working in a major time crunch. Katelyn James, you rock!

Review pricing and update for 2018. This is a work in progress. I’m super excited to be offering several more product options this year (yay gorgeous heirloom albums) as well as creating a more refined and exclusive experience for both my wedding and portrait clients! 🙂

Evaluate workflow and look for holes or changes to be made. This is a work in progress as well. I am creating a workflow in Honeybook to attach to each wedding or session I do. I’m being very detailed, which is why it is taking so long. I’m already at over 100 steps for my wedding workflow…I know that sounds insane, but I need a box to check off for everything!!! I know this is going to help my organization SO much.

Finish and print Bridal Guide Magazine. Nope. This did not happen. But I am determined to make it happen this month. It’s going to be a struggle, but the feeling of accomplishment at the end of this will be totally worth it!!!

Personal:

Read: Make it Happen by Lara Casey. YES I did it! And it is an amazing book.

Enjoy down time in the mountains. Totally happened! AJ and I went to the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival, which we love! We also spent this past weekend exploring West Jefferson and meeting friends for dinner in Boone! Always a treat!

Get photos of AJ & I made by Elli McGuire!!! This did not happen because of bad weather as well as crazy schedules!

Do a fall purge and cleaning out of my closet! I did this too! And it felt great. I highly recommend getting rid of clothes you don’t wear!

Start a gratitude journal TODAY and write three things I’m grateful for in it every night. I admit that this one was a difficult one to keep up with. I didn’t feel motivated to write every night. However, when I did, it instantly put me in a good mood. And that’s reason enough to keep up with it!

Onward…November Goals!

Business:

Blog the remaining 2017 weddings. This carries over from October but that’s okay. I’m giving myself grace!

Review pricing and update for 2018.

Evaluate workflow and look for holes or changes to be made.

Finish and print Bridal Guide Magazine.

Art of Authentic Posing Course.

Work on a secret project for photographers. Stay tuned on this one!

Personal:

Read. Life of The Beloved by Henri Nouwen. I read this book a couple years ago and it is filled with amazing truths. Excited to read it again!

Take Bubba (my little maltipoo) on more walks before it gets too cold. He loves being outside and so do I! I want to get as much beautiful fall weather as I can before it’s too chilly!

Keep up with my gratitude journal. It’s good for the heart and soul.

Yoga. I know my body needs it. I just signed up for a 31 day challenge, so here goes nothing!!!

Go to bed earlier and get up earlier. Again, listening to my body!

Lots of goals this month! Thanks for holding me accountable, friends! Need an accountability buddy? Shoot me an email at hello@kevyndixonphoto.com and share some of your personal or business goals with me! I’m cheering for you!

Share some of your November goals in the comments! I love feeling inspired by goals that others share!
