I cannot believe my little girl is TWO years old! Time is flying by and we recently celebrated her second birthday. Being a mom and a photographer meant that there were definitely going to be photos involved! We planned a session at one of my favorite Charlotte NC photography studios to capture how big she’s getting! It was so special to slow down and take the time to photograph my own little family as we prepared for her to turn two. I’m so obsessed with how Charlotte’s birthday photos at this Charlotte NC photography studio turned out!

Birthday Photos at Charlotte NC Photography Studio

While there’s lots of ways to capture your little one’s birthday portraits, I personally love the feel of studio sessions. The neutral space really allows us to customize your final portraits based on the props and sets you choose to use. For Caroline’s photos, we kept everything simple. We brought a little rocking chair for her, as well as a white chair for her balloon photos. She was front and center with simple props. That meant I could capture her beautiful little eyes and curls so I’ll always remember how she looked at two. Of course, her favorite stuffed animals made an appearance too – Elmo and Pout Pout Fish! I’m so glad that she brought them along. One day they won’t be practically glued to her side anymore. But we’ll always have these sweet photos to remember this stage of life together. 

One of the other reasons I love capturing portraits of little ones in a studio is that it makes the logistics for our session so much easier! We don’t have to worry about the weather or the temperature outside, and they can’t get away from us. Toddlers are always on the go, so having a contained space for them to explore and show off their personalities is a dream. It also means that your little one can wear their favorite outfit without worrying about how comfortable they are. When it comes to toddlers and photos, I’m all about making things simple for everyone!
