Congratulations, Dianna and Andrew! This winter, I had the absolute joy of photographing their winter wedding at Summerfield Farms. This is one of my favorite venues and I was thrilled to have another chance to photograph a wedding day here. Despite the chilly weather, Dianna and Andrew were totally relaxed and all smiles throughout their celebration. It was a beautiful day, and I can’t wait for you to see all of their gorgeous details!
Intimate Church Ceremony at Our Lady of Grace
Since Dianna and Andrew planned a traditional church wedding at Our Lady of Grace in Greensboro, NC, they chose not to have a first look together. Instead, Dianna met her father for a first look outside the church. It was such a sweet and tender moment for them both – and a lovely way to start the day. The church was covered in red poinsettias, which is one of the things I love most about holiday weddings – you can enjoy their seasonal decorations and help your budget lines! After Dianna and Andrew exchanged vows, I took them around the outside of this incredible church for their first portraits together as husband and wife!! It was so chilly. But they were troopers and we captured some beautiful portraits at the church and then over at Summerfield Farms.
Winter Wedding at Summerfield Farms
We’re no strangers to Summerfield Farms! I’ve photographed several wedding days here, but I also met Dianna and Andrew here for their engagement session. Visiting a venue more than once is always nice for me as a photographer, because I know all the best spots to capture your portraits. At Summerfield Farms, one of my favorite spots is their gorgeous barn and the old oak tree in the middle of the property. Both served as backdrops for Dianna and Andrew’s portraits throughout the evening.
I have to say, I’m obsessed with Dianna’s bridal look. She looked like a star running across the field at the farm with her gorgeous gown trailing behind her. Andrew’s dark green suit was also a subtle nod to the holiday season. I appreciate that Dianna and Andrew leaned more into a winter color palette, using pale blue and white details throughout their reception and for their bridal party’s attire. It felt so magical and wintery – a perfect combination with the dark woods of Summerfield Farms’ barn – where they celebrated with their friends and family the rest of the evening.
Congratulations again, Dianna and Andrew! I’m so happy for you both and I wish you many happy years together.
